The structure
of Freemasonry can seem a little odd, and even confusing at times,
which we hope to help with here.
One of the problems is each jurisdiction can, and often does,
do things slightly different to another. Some call certain officers
by different names, some have officers others don't, some jurisdictions
have intermediary governing offices where others don't so on and
so forth so we will attempt to provide you with the basic structure
of Freemasonry.
To try and aid with making sense of it all we have divided the
information into sections, as indicated above by the page links.
Firstly we will address the set up of the degree system
so often talked about, quoted and mis-interpreted, followed by the
structure
and working of a standard lodge. This
leads on to the governing lodges, Grand
Lodges, of each jurisdiction and finally what options are available
to Freemasons after they have completed the
degrees of Freemasonry.
If you want any additional information, other than what is available
here, or more specific to your area then please feel free to send
your questions to the siteadmin who
will endeavour to answer them all and your querie may even get featured
on the site. |
