To further validate information provided on the Freemasonry Universal site, and to ensure our visitors that we only use the best sources for our content we have sent messages to Grand Lodges around the world to ask for their approval on the freemasonry page specific to their jurisdiction.
We are not a Grand Lodge, we are not even a Lodge, but we are attempting to provide our visitors with accurate content and will go to all lengths to both ensure we hold true information and that you the visitor can read confidently through our pages.
As Freemasonry is so widely spread approval from all Grand Lodges will take time, we have already begun generating the country pages and as each Grand Lodge provides us with approval the page will go live on the site, linkeable from the country list on the main Freemasonry Page, these pages going live are not dependant on the Grand Lodge approval, but we are seeking this prior to setting the links to enable the Grand Lodge to advise us of any errors, changes they require and the opportunity to provide approval for the final content.
We will not generate a unique news item here each time we receive approval, but will place a short note on the front page to inform you the visitor each time a new page goes live, other please check back on the main Freemasonry Page to see what new links have appeared.
Freemasonry Universals' endeavours to generate, create and maintain the ultimate resource for those of and interested in Freemasonry has led them to generat country pages. As you will see from the main Freemasonry Page down the right hand side of the page there is a list of countries.
Currently the only linked country is England, as the information on the main pages of the site are based around English Freemasonry, but over the coming weeks more countries will be linked to independant pages with bespoke information for that jurisdiction.
In the interest of maintaining an unbiased view of Freemasonry as a whole, today Freemasonry Universal has started to make contact with other masonic styled bodies to invite them to provide information.
It is the intention of Freemasonry Universal to offer all masonic styled organisations, especially those who class themselves Freemasonry, the opportunity to provide and official statement.
To ensure absolute fairness, in the first instance, we will politely asked each group to provide Freemasonry Universal with a statement about their organisation. It has also been requested that each group send information regarding their group only, and does not delve into the unmasonic task of degrading another form of Freemasonry.
On receipt of this statement we will upload it to our site, which will be available via the Alternate Freemasonry page, where you will find a link list on the right side of the page. Providing the group has submitted their information in the manner requested they will secondly be invited to submit more specific information under the titles of History, Structure, Principles, and Membership so they have equal display on the site as does the more well known form of Freemasonry detailed on the main Freemasonry pages.
Freemasonry Universal from it's creation has always been about honest information.
With this being the main aim it was deemed prudent to priotise getting some of the interpretations of Freemasons on the varying aspects and areas of this site.
Therefore today we launched our first project since the sites re-launch and subsequent re-design, so if you are a Freemason and have an opinion please check out the Projects area of the site and see where you can help!
Freemasonry Universal are please to annouce the release of there new website.
Over the coming months Freemasonry Universal will be filling it's brand new site with content for your perusal.
There were a number of reports from the old site about cross-browser compatibility, page load speeds and general annoyances.
For this reason we have decided rather than just re-starting the old site it would be more prudent to re-design and re-code it now before it gets any bigger to try and iron out these issues.
Freemasonry Universal has originally approached Bond Business Services with regard to the re-design of the site. From the goodness of this company we have recieved a completely new design, page layout and concept to the site, which has also been coded and annotated to allow us to maintain the site ourselves. SO a BIG THANK YOU goes out to Bond Business Services and their team for putting in the effort and allowing us to bring Freemasonry Universal back to life to quickly.
Over the coming weeks the old site will be brought down and the information transferred to the new page layouts, all of which will be coded for cross browser compatibility (there you go Mozilla fans) and also laid out with CSS so it is more accessible and inline with newer web design consideration.
It has not gone un-noticed that the Freemasonry Universal website has come to a abrupt stop.
