The Internet is overflowing with online communities, forums, message boards, blogs and e-Mail lists. As well as Freemasonry Universal producing and maintaining it's own efforts, it's members also support and contribute to others or their own.

Freemasonry Universal was the inspiration of a single Freemason, who after seeing the large volume of sites on Freemasonry wanted to bring together those who's creation and running was similar to Freemasons and Freemasonry in real life in a consortium styled group who could work together on line as in life.

After a few sites, and site users, voiced positive feedback to the idea Freemasonry Universal was born. A number of small time efforts were launched utilising free community boards, free blogs, and simple e-Mail lists but the volume of success was to make it a necessity to firmly place Freemasonry Universal under it's very own domain.

It is possible to become a part of Freemasonry Universal in many ways, as an individual, as a site owner/administrator, or as a forum (online community). And then at three levels; supporter, contributor, fellow

Supporter = this is another online masonic presence that displays the Freemasonry Universal logo and links to the site in support of the venture.

Journeymen = is a contributor, an individual, or masonic site, that provides something to the site in some shape or form, whether that be via regular donations towards the upkeep of Freemasonry Universal or involvement in the projects anything more than just linking us would make a claim for Journeyman status valid.

Fellow = a fellow of Freemasonry Universal is a special title reserved for those who contribute largely to online resources on the topic of Freemasonry, not specifically via Freemasonry Universal. People can be nominated for the title of Fellow, but in general it is an honour bestowed. All Fellows of Freemasonry Universal are displayed on the honour roll.

The concept is basic and although being a Freemason is not paramount to you joining, being openly involved in the positive projection of the craft is.
